High Risk Environment Private Security

How important is Private Security in high risk environments such as the Middle East, Africa and the Gulf of Aden? Is it necessary and if so, how professional are the companies operating in such areas? We at http://www.nemesis-security.com/ recruit highly experienced ex military personnel and only deploy to operations after full screening and deployment training. What are your experiences with other Close Protection and PSD companies?

  1. I work for Nemesis and all the blokes are ex NATO with operational experience. We have good pre deployment training, new weapons and a movement cell that is secure and efficient. When I was working on a contract 2 years ago in Afgan for another company that will remain nameless, when we got to Bagram there was no one there to meet us. We were told to catch a taxi to the Operations base! We tabbed it because it was actually safer than getting into an insurgent's cab! When we arrived at the Ops Base the rest of the team were non military locals, the weapons were old and poor quality. There are some right cowboys in this business so all I can say is check the company you work for thoroughly, ask some blokes who have worked for them what they are like and make sure the contract is watertight. Always go with a good company like Nemesis or Securiforce AI
